Aqua Scooter wants to redesign to comply with US EPA

Post by Hec In Omaha » Sat Sep 17, 2016 2:41 pm

Howdy All,

In 2010 the United States Environmental Protection Agency passed new stricter regulations on 2 stroke engine emissions. The result was that Aqua-Scooters do not meet these requirements and therefore can't be sold in the U.S. by Aqua Scooter anymore. Apparently Aqua Scooter has enlisted the help of Northern Arizona University Engineering Department to help with designing an Aqua Scooter that will comply with the EPA's new regulations. Its interesting what they are proposing, but all appear to be non viable as it will raise the cost of production. Leave it to the government to ruin a good thing.
Are Aqua Scooters exempt from this type of regulation in your country?
